Osmica

Osmica (meaning “eight days”) is a period when farmers offer their homemade produce at their homes. The history of osmica goes back to the middle of the 18th century when Empress Maria Theresa of Austria allowed the winemakers of that time to sell their wine. They could also offer their homemade delicacies to the visitors. The tradition has been preserved to these days, when we open the doors of our homesteads to visitors twice a year to offer them homemade food, wine and relaxation from everyday life. As was the custom of the past and is still present in these days, musicians and singers provide a good atmosphere during the osmica. Throughout the year, we organize dinners, live music and catering for closed groups by prior arrangement.
